Files, folders, CD storage files, document bags, these are just some of the stationeries produced by Rainbow Products Pte Ltd under the "Rainbow" brand. The company occupies 3 HDB units at Tampines Industrial Estate. Set up in 1987, it has grown from 10 to the current 30 staff.

The company captures both local and overseas markets by offering value-added services in customisation and consultancy. Regular local clientele include Mindef, SingTel, ITQ, CPF, local hospitals and Popular Bookstores. For overseas markets like Taiwan, the company extends its reach through collaboration with business partners there.

Rainbow invests in improvement programmes to ensure it is a notch above its peers. The company has completed its 'Cost of Quality' study with SPRING (formerly PSB Singapore) and has just recently embarked on the E-Commerce Jumpstart programme from SPRING.

Ms Renel Moey, director for Rainbow, opined that such self-enrichment is necessary to keep Rainbow competitive and relevant in the light of fierce competition. The company also participates in trade fairs and associations to keep itself abreast on product knowledge and build market contacts.
